Located on the grounds of St. Elizabeth Academy, Arsenal was the first of our centers to open. It began serving the community in 1981. Some of the participants attending the center are actually former students of the Academy. This center also has a contract with the Veterans Administration to provide services for veterans who qualify. We currently have several World War II and Korean War veterans at the center.
Favorite activities include: an indoor golf game, a going to the races game, various motor skill games and bingo. Weekly field trips are taken to such places as the Botanical Garden, the St. Louis Science Center, and the Dollar Store. Also scheduled are seasonal scenic rides.
Center is located:
3 blocks East of Grand Ave. East of Tower Grove Park. South of Highways 40
and 44 at the Grand Ave exit.
